Polars Newsletter: August 2024

Hello Polar parents

There are a lot of changes in August. Some of our students will be moving up to Brown Bears. We will be welcoming Connor and Collins from the Panda Rooms. Since we have so many younger and new Children we will be starting the alphabet over. Our letter of the month is “A.” We encourage you to help your child learn new words that start with the letter of the month. You can do this all times of the day for example on the way to and from school, at meal time, bath time and bedtime.

It is a big change from the Panda room to the Polar room. We do a lot of learning, for example tracing their names, days of the week, shapes, alphabet, colors and numbers 1-10. We have a lot of rules that they will get in time. By this age your child should be able to dress themselves in case of spills. If they don’t know yet please encourage them to dress themselves at home.

Every child coming to the Polar room must be fully potty trained. Every child needs a backpack, a water bottle, sunscreen on everyday before coming to school we will reapply in the afternoon, three changes of clothes to keep at school and a blanket that will be sent home every Friday to be washed and returned on Monday morning.
No toys from home are to be brought to school it’s a disruption to the learning environment and causes problemsToys can distract students during class, lead to conflict between peers, and cause jealousy. They can also get lost or broken, which can upset children.
Communication between you as parents and us as teachers is very important. We are here because we love to teach children to grow. If you have anything we should know about your child or concerns please feel free to speak to us at anytime. We have been teaching as a team for 10 years.
