Black Bears 1 Newsletter: November 2019

Dear Parents,

It’s so hard to believe that the Holidays are upon us, we had a wonderful time in Black bears being scientist and exploring pumpkins! We learned that pumpkins float, come in different sizes as well as colors and different textures. 

The month of November:

November 4th-8th Down on the Farm. 

This week will be working on sorting farm animals. Graphing how many we had. We will introducing the site word an. We will continue to practice writing our name and learning to create a space between each letter. 

November 11-15 Harvest week. This week we will be writing the number 2 and the letter H. the sight word is “It”. The children will be creating a volcano using a pumpkin. Looking at Indian corn and Gourds and measuring and weighing them.  Washing veggies in the sensory table. 

November 18-22 Is Family. We will be looking at our families. How they are the same and different. Graphing how many people do we have in our family? We also will be talking about the traditions in our families. Please bring in one tradition that your family does during the Thanksgiving holiday. I family photo for the family tree we are creating.

November 25-29 Thanksgiving. We will be talking about our family traditions. On Wednesday the class will be making stone soup, bread and butter to wrap up our themes for the month.

Important Dates

11-22 Sunset Thanksgiving feast at 11:30am.

11-27 Black bear stone soup friendship Lunch.

11-28 Thanksgiving center Closed

11-29 Closing at 4.

Please sign up your child for the week of thanksgiving by November 15th.
