Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone had an awesome New Year! January 2021 will be an amazing new adventure in our Black Bears Class. As we continue to remain safe in our school environment, we will grow in every way. I am so excited for a new year!
We will begin our new year with student-lead units of study. We will study ocean life the first two weeks, and then we will study animals in the winter. We look forward to studying the other subjects some of our
friends chose to learn about during the rest of the school year.
I want to get to know our families as we begin 2021. We will display photos and anything else you would like to share with us. A table will be set up in our Dramatic Play area to recognize each family
in our classroom. We will have a wall display of family photos, too. I will also find pictures of families around the world for our friends to talk about. If possible, send one family photo to be on our wall
display in the next two weeks. Here is a list of each child’s week in which their family will be recognized. It will be exciting for all of us to see the similarities and differences in our families.
Lena – January 11-15 Dekker – March 8-12
Ava – January 18-22 Nova – March 15-19
Anthony – January 25-29 Finnley – March 22-26
Nova H. – February 1-5 Harrison – March 29-April 2
Floyd – February 8-12 Landon – April 5-9
Kennedy – February 15-19 Liza – April 12-16
Bryson – February 22-26 Serenity – April 19-23
Evelyn – March 1-5
Please remember to send a family photo in the next two weeks for our family wall. Items to send for the display table can be objects of family traditions or photos of favorite family activities and celebrations. You could take photos of your family’s favorite foods. Be as creative as you want to. We want to learn about our families.
I continue to be amazed by all of our friends’ growth and development this year. We will thrive in our Math, Science, Art, and Literacy areas in 2021. What an exciting New Year!
Looking forward to a better year and meeting all of you face to face one
day soon.
Pam Kelley
