Dear Parents/Guardians/Grandparents,

      May brings buds bursting, beautiful flowers, and birds singing. It’s such a nice month of the year. It brings new possibilities for all of us. We are looking forward to  Pre-Kindergarten Graduation Day on May 27th at 12:00. Your child will be bringing home a part they will have in our graduation program by May 14th. Have them practice it daily. We will have rehearsed our songs and poems daily at school by then. They have chosen what they want to learn. So the next two weeks we will practice. It is very exciting for children to be able to perform in front of their parents, grandparents, and friends.

      Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up on May 18th. Please sign up as soon as you can. The kiddos have enjoyed preparing many things to show you at the conference. I would prefer to have an in-person conference with you if possible. Let me know if you want to have a Zoom Meeting or phone conference. If you choose the in-person conference we will wear masks and meet outside on the picnic tables in front of the school. Hopefully the weather will be perfect that day. 

     Sarah and I feel so blessed to have been a part of your child’s life this year. Your children are precious gifts for all of us at Sunset Academy to cherish. Each child’s development is unique to him/her, and also similar to other children their age. They have an exciting future ahead of them.

      We wish our mothers and grandmothers in our classroom an awesome Mother’s Day this month, and please remember to be thankful for the millions of people in uniform who give and gave their lives for this wonderful country we live in on Memorial Day. What a great time to relax and grill something good to eat!
