Merry December, wishing you all peace and joy during this busy season. We will try our best to continue learning during the excitement. It’s hard to focus knowing what holiday is coming up.
This month will start out reviewing colors as we make color books. Your child will still learn to read this booklet too.
We will learn to recognize and practice the formation of upper and lowercase G, H, J, K, and L.
Starting December 6 we will discuss a few celebrations and customs around the world. Saint Nicholas in Germany, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Santa arriving on a surfboard in Australia. If you have any customs you would like to share, please let me know and we will add them to our day.
Plenty of holiday crafts will be made during the last two weeks. Creativity, fine motor and listening skills are always being practiced during this process.
Thank you for making sure your child has all the proper cold-weather gear to be able to enjoy our 2, 45 minute, outside recesses, even all through the winter. They need fresh air and to be able to run.
May you have opportunities to slow down and enjoy the magic of the season. The memories will last a lifetime.
Thank you for all you do. Remember to love em, hug em, laugh lots and READ, READ, READ!
They grow fast!
Ms Diane
