| WELCOME TO FEBRUARY BROWN BEARS This month we’ll be focusing on friendships and the power of unity and teamwork. We’ll dive into big questions like “What makes someone a good friend?”, “What does it mean to be good?” , “Who do I look up to?” As we search for answers to these questions, we encourage you to share your own experiences and thoughts with the students 🙂 |
 WE HAVE SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES…To discuss role models and go over some history! February is Black History Month so we’ll be learning about various historical figures/events and taking note of all the good they have done and all the changes they have inspired. This month, we’ll also be celebrating Valentine’s Day and going over the topics of friendship, communication, and problem solving. We’ll be reviewing #’s 0-20. Exploring “advanced” shapes and learning letters L, M, N! |
 !!Valentines Day Exchange!!Students are to bring a shoe box to decorate. This is where they’ll be placing all of their treats/cards. The decorating will take place Feb 12th so that the boxes have enough time to dry. The exchange in itself will happen Feb 14th at 11am during our morning circle time. Feb 14th will also be red & pink day. We’ll be taking some cute pictures and sending them out for you. The total students we (currently) have are 15  ***IMPORTANT DATES***02/09 – Early Closure for staff meeting. Pick up students by 4PM 02/10 – Chinese New Year: Year of the Dragon 02/12 – Valentines Box Decorating! BYOB (bring your own box) 02/14 – Valentines Day Exchange @ 11AM 02/14 – Red & Pink Day! |
