Brown Bears Newsletter: July 2019

Happy Fourth of July! May you all enjoy some quality family time during the holiday.

We begin the month celebrating Independence Day by learning about the flag and what it represents. The children will make a classroom flag together and individual ones to take home to wave about during festivities.

The second week the theme will be on vacations. We are glad so many of you are able to get away this time of year. The children are excited to share their experiences. Please let the teachers know what days you will be taking off, and write it in our notebook. We appreciate your communication.

Sports will be the topic for the third week. We are hoping to use the field to organize a variety of sports during the week.

Puppets will be made the last week including impromptu puppet shows. It is a delight to see what the children come up with for their unique storylines.

We continue to reinforce letters and numbers.

Splash Days are a blast every Friday. Please remember to provide a towel for your child along with water shoes, a complete change of clothes and shoes. The children are doing exceptionally well this year using their independence to change. Thank you for sunscreen every morning.
