It’s Officially Summer! 

We have had an amazing year with you all and are so happy that we’ve had wonderful families to share our first year at Sunset Academy with.

For friends who are 4, this will be our last full month together before you move up to the Black Bear/Grizzly classrooms. Let’s end the school year on a good note and finish it off with a BANG! Our Space Exploration Unit! 

Theme: Solar System

Students are invited to dress up wearing their craziest patterns and brightest colors! 

The students have worked hard all year and have definitely earned a day full of fun 😀

We have many activities planned including: a glowstick party. temp tattoos, games, and yummy treats

SPLASH DAY

The month for splash day has finally arrived! We will be doing splash days on each Wednesday during AM outdoor time (9:40-10:40) for the month of July. The first day will be Wed July 3rd.

Each student will need: a reusable waterproof bag, closed toe water shoes, towel, and their swimsuit/sunscreen on before class

In order to give students enough time to play, it is incredibly important that everyone wanting to participate arrives to class before 9:20 so they can have breakfast and use the restroom before going outside. We will leave the building at 9:35! If you bring a student in late, please take them to the restroom before dropping them off in the field. 

!!Rocket Experiment!!

Each student will be participating in a group rocket! If we could have 4 volunteers to bring a 2 liter soda & 1 packet of mentos, that would be awesome! (sign up sheet will be posted) The chemical reaction between the soda and mentos will make the rocket “explode” (the students will not be drinking the soda).

Please bring soda and mentos on 07/24 to decorate bottles
