Brown Bears Newsletter: June 2024

Welcome to Summer time!

We’ve made it through the school year together and now are able to enjoy some fun in the sun and more relaxed activities. We’ll be focusing on reviewing mathematics, literacy, and social emotional skills we’ve learned throughout the year. Of course, we’ll be learning new facts and some fun experiments are in store!

Theme: Dinosaurs

Numbers: Review 1-50

Letters: Review A-N

THE LAND BEFORE TIME

What did the world look like during prehistoric times?

What creatures and animals roamed the Earth?

What scientists help discover these facts? How do they do it?

We’ll be discussing these questions & more as we explore our dinosaur unit!

SPLASH DAY INFO

The Brown Bear class will be waiting until class numbers are lower before participating in splash day. It would be very helpful if you have students practice dressing themselves at home so the changing process can go faster once we do start the splash days 🙂

Splash days will happen during our AM outdoor time on Wednesdays and Thursdays  (9:40-10:40). Based on info we have now, it most likely will start in July

However, you can prepare ahead of time!

Students will need:

water shoes, towel, water proof bag/sack (no plastic grocery bags), sunscreen applied before school, swimsuit on before class
