What a beautiful way for March to start off. The weather is fantastic after a brutal cold spell. Coming in like a lamb.
Dr. Seuss’s birthday is a fun way to kick off this month. Reading the sing song rhyming words is a great way to teach beginning reading and a love of books. Rhyming is a very important skill to help your child ease into reading. Play rhyming games in the car, while dressing, or any downtime to help your child get a jump on the world of words.
The second week will focus on nutrition and eating the rainbow. Eating the rainbow is a phrase I hope they talk to you about and the importance of healthy foods for their growing minds and bodies. I love seeing all the healthy morning snacks. Our group of families are doing such great jobs, thank you!
We will have some silly St Patrick Day fun for the third week. I will have a sign up for green foods for March 17. We can have big fun sharing healthy food to.
March 20 is the first day of spring. We will spend the week becoming aware of all the possible changes outside.
Spring creates magical new beginnings all around us. We will be on the lookout these next few weeks, while creating some indoor spring art.
We will finish up March with a unit on dinosaurs, so much to learn.
The letters this month are V, W, X, and Z.
Thank you for all you do!
Remember to love em, hug em, laugh lots and READ, READ, READ! They grow fast!
Love, Diane
