Brown Bears- November 2024

Happy November Brown Bear Families!

We can’t believe how fast October has flown by! It has been an amazing school year so far and that’s all thanks to you guys, we are so thankful for each and every one of you. We have a very exciting month planned full of lots of fun activities. Please continue to read the newsletter until the very end as it contains all the important information you need to know for the month.

Theme : Family + Culture

Letters : E + F (uppercase/lowercase & letter sounds)

Numbers : 6-10

Focus : Learning about family and discussing different cultures ( ex Day Of The Dead, Diwali, & Thanksgiving), and more fine motor (lacing, zipping, buttoning)

With colder and snowier months approaching we want to remind everyone to please dress your Brown Bear appropriately according to the weather. As we still go outside in the winter time, it’s very important that every child is bringing: a thick sweater, jacket, hat, and gloves to school with them everyday. Once it starts snowing more heavily and frequently your Brown Bear will also need snow pants (or snow suit), snow boots, a heavy winter coat and a pair of slippers to keep at schoolWe’ll continue to teach our students how to put on and zip up their own coats and sweaters, and we ask that you encourage your Brown Bear and reinforce this at home as well.

Quick Reminders!

As you guys know the health and safety of all our students is always our top priority. That being said PLEASE keep your Brown Bear home if they’re sick, as this helps prevent their illness from spreading to other students and teachers. If your student is staying home because they’re sick, please let us know. It’s so important for us to keep track of the illnesses going around the classroom so we can take proper safety and cleaning precautions.

– Don’t forget to label all of your students’ clothing with their first and last name, this way if anything gets lost It’ll be easier to return to its rightful owner.
