Cubs Newsletter: August 2021

Dear Cubs Families,

Well, it seems like July has flown by. The weather was too hot to go on many walks, but I hope August brings more bearable temperatures. This month we are going to be working on object permanence and beginning baby sign language. We will start with the signs milk and all done. We will also sing nursery rhymes that contain positional words, such as “Twinkle Twinkle” and “The Itsy Bitsy Spider.”

Milestones This Month: Atticus is crawling backwards and getting very close to crawling forwards! Caroline joined our class this month and we’ve loved getting to know her personality and beautiful smile! We had her big brother Charlie two and a half years ago and it’s so fun getting to see some of his traits in her. Maddie started eating rice cereal at home and loves looking at mirrors and cameras. Sierra is eating purees and beginning to roll from her back to her front.

Announcements:
We will close early (4:00 p.m.) on Friday the 13th for our monthly staff meeting and training.
Baby Evan will be joining our class on August 23rd. Welcome to Cubs, Evan!
