Cubs Newsletter: September 2021

Dear Cubs Families,

Welcome to September! It has been so fun learning about colors and shapes, and now we are moving on to “Things That Go!” That means we get to sing lots of Wheels on the Bus and other transportation related songs and finger plays. We also will be reading books and practicing cognitive and motor activities with this theme in mind.

If you have any board books at home relating to “Things That Go” that you would like to lend us for the month, we would be happy to borrow them (I will keep them out of reach when not in use so they aren’t chewed or ripped!).

This past week we welcomed a new child to our class, Evan. Evan is having a great first week and is already charming us with his cute smiles. Welcome, Evan!

Sierra has begun to crawl, and is very interested in our carrot sorting toy and singing ball toy.

Atticus is pulling up on everything and reaching above his head to get what he wants.

Caroline has started rolling, and is working on sitting up without support.

They have all grown so much just this month, and as always I am honored to be a small part of witnessing their growth and development.

Important Dates:

Monday, September 6th we will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

Friday, September 10th we will close early (4:00) for our monthly staff meeting and training.

If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, feel free to contact me any time through procare.

Sincerely,

Ms. Katie
