Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! We hope everybody enjoyed their time over the holidays. We have had great pleasure sharing this past year with your children and are looking forward to a safe and healthy 2019.
The weather has been getting a lot colder lately, so please remember to ensure your children has jacket, gloves/mittens and hat to stay warm on days we take them outside.
We would like to thank the parents for their overwhelming support of our monthly staff meetings. We will close at 4:00 p.m. on the 2nd Friday of each month starting January 11th. We really appreciate your support.
REMINDER: Please ensure your accounts are current prior to end of year. This helps up to close out our book keeping at year-end.
My door is always open, so do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns or suggestions.
Parenting Tip – Thank You Notes:
Involving your children in the process of writing thank you notes for gifts is an important part of teaching them responsibility and graciousness, while fostering language skills. Older children can write short notes on a card. Younger children can dictate to you what they like about the gift and draw a picture to include in the note. Even infants and toddlers can be involved in the process by having the thank you note become the canvas for their artwork, such as a footprint or markings with a crayon. Consider making the thank you note process fun and an opportunity to spend time together. If there are many thank you notes to do, you and your child may decide to work on just a few each day so the chore does not become a burden. Whichever way you approach it, thank you notes offer a natural opportunity to teach children about giving and receiving.
