Curriculum Spotlight

This month, our classrooms will explore the magical wonders of winter! From snowflakes and icicles to winter animals and seasonal stories, children will engage in hands-on activities that bring the chilly season to life. Look forward to creative art projects, themed storytimes, and fun experiments with ice and snow.

Important Dates

• Early Closure Day: Sunset Academy will close at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 10th, for staff training. Please make arrangements to pick up your child early on this day. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to enhance our skills to better serve your children.

Health and Safety Reminder

Flu season is upon us! To help keep our community healthy, we kindly ask that you monitor your child for symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or fatigue. Children who exhibit these symptoms should remain at home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without medication.

Together, we can minimize the spread of illness and ensure everyone stays well.

Outdoor Play in Winter 

Even in winter, outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine. Please ensure your child comes dressed appropriately for the weather with a warm coat, gloves, hat, and sturdy shoes.

• If temperatures are 32 degrees or below, we will remain indoors.
• For temperatures between 32 and 40 degrees, outdoor play will be limited to 10 minutes.
