Director’s Newsletter: November 2021

Can you believe the end of the year is fast approaching? It will be 2022 before we know it. We hope you all have had a great year and are continuing to stay safe.

We would like to thank all of the parents who participated in our Trunk or Treat, bringing goodies, healthy snack and helping out. Without your kind consideration, we could not have had such a successful event.

The cold weather continues to creep in, please ensure your child has appropriate clothing like coats, mittens, etc. based on whatever the weather conditions are for each day.

As a reminder, we are having our staff meetings on the 2nd Friday of each month. This is for staff training and development like we accomplished prior to COVID. We will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on those days. Dates are posted at the check-in area. November 12th will be our staff meeting this month.

Reminder: Sunset Academy will host a Scholastic Bookfair starting November 15th. Books will be displayed at the center. Please take an opportunity to look for holiday gifts of books for your children.

NOTE: Please look outside of your child’s classroom for a holiday survey asking parents to document what your plans are for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This will help us plan appropriately for staffing, knowing how many children to expect for each classroom.

Holiday Note: Sunset Academy will be closed, Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th in recognition of Thanksgiving. To those of you who are traveling for the holiday be safe and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you, parents, for your precautions keeping your child at home when sick or not feeling well. We know the extra stress this creates, but as you all know it is required to keep everybody safe and healthy. We truly appreciate you all.
