Dear Families,

Happy November! As we head into the holiday season, we have a busy month ahead with several important dates and events. Here’s a look at what’s coming up this month at Sunset Academy.

Throughout November, each classroom will explore the theme of Family, Gratitude and Giving, helping children understand the importance of kindness, sharing, and thankfulness:

• Infants & Toddlers will explore sensory activities with fall-themed colors and textures, introducing words like “thank you” and “friends” in fun, interactive ways.
• Preschoolers will dive into stories and crafts that focus on family and community, practice early writing by tracing letter, numbers, and names and learn about sharing and teamwork through group activities.
• Pre-Kindergarten classes will be learning about Family and Culture, exploring topics such as Día de los Muertos, Thanksgiving, and Diwali. Through art, stories, and music, they’ll gain an appreciation for cultural traditions, family values, and the concept of giving.

Thank You to Our Trunk or Treat Volunteers!

A huge thank you to all the wonderful parents and families who volunteered for our Trunk or Treat event! It was a blast, and we couldn’t have done it without your help. We loved seeing everyone’s creativity and halloween spirit, making it a memorable day for all!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

This month, each classroom will hold parent-teacher conferences, an opportunity to discuss your child’s development, accomplishments, and future goals. Sign-up sheets are available outside each classroom door for scheduling your conference on the assigned date for your child’s class. We look forward to sharing your child’s growth with you!

Important Dates

• November 8: Early Closure for Staff Training
  Sunset Academy will close early for staff development and training. We will close at 4 pm to ensure our team continues providing high-quality care and education for your children.
• November 21-22: Winter School Pictures – Our annual school pictures are scheduled for these two days. The 22nd is for make-up pictures.
• November 27: Thanksgiving Lunch
  Join us for a special Thanksgiving lunch with the children! We welcome all parents to attend and celebrate together. Lunch is at 11:30 a.m.
• November 28-29: Thanksgiving Holiday – School Closed
  Sunset Academy will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. We wish everyone a wonderful break with family and friends and look forward to welcoming everyone back on December 2.
