HAPPY NEW YEAR Grizzly Parents & Families,
Welcome to 2019!! We are starting the new year strong filling it with new adventures & learning experiences for our students.
December weather brought a couple weeks where we felt the real chill of winter. We’d like to continue to encourage & thank our students for bringing winter coats, mittens, boots & hats to protect themselves from the frigid temperatures during the day. We do like to get the students outside if daylight & weather permits.
We will start this year’s themes with fun filled experiments along with a variety of STEM projects as shown on the classroom calendar.
The themes for this month are:
• Skating into the New Year
• Winter Animals & Hibernation
• Under the Sea
• Martin Luther King Jr. & Art Studio (Different Methods of Art)
• Groundhog Day
January has a few dates to be aware of for our students.
• 1/1 Sunset Academy CLOSED for New Year’s Day
• 1/7 No School – Flagstaff & TPCA
• 1/21 No School – Flagstaff, SVVSD & TPCA

A sign up sheet is posted outside the Grizzly room on the Theme Board. Please make sure you have afternoon snacks & lunches packed for your kiddo on “No School” days. A copy of the lunch & snack guidelines is available upon request.
