Koala Newsletter: November 2019

Dear Koala Parents
Happy November!! Happy Fall! Can you believe that this year is almost over? We would like to say a Big Hello and Welcome to two New Kids Charlie F and Jade R. Charlie is from our very own Teddies room and couldn’t be more excited to have him in Koala 1 room to keep learning and exploring here at Sunset Academy. Jade is a brand new Friend and is Mrs. Melissa’s niece, jade has already been fitting in so well with all the other kids. We can’t wait to see her grown and learn with us at Sunset, lets make them both feel welcome. We also like to take a moment to Welcome New Lead Teacher Ms. Nichole to the Koala 1 room, if you have not introduced yourself yet to her, please take a moment to tell her hi. With some more changes that the Koala’s have been going through. We also would like to say Good Bye to our own Destiny D, as she has graduated to the next room up to the panda 1 room where she will be with Becca and Elena and some of her old friends from Koala 2 as well.
We would like to Invite all parents to our Thanksgiving Feast on Nov 22nd at 1115 here at Sunset in the Koala 1&2 rooms where all the parents are invited to come and enjoy lunch with their child and eat some yummy food. Which includes turkey, mashed potatoes, biscuits and more. We will be following the rest of the schedule for the day including nap which is around 1145/12p We do hope to see all of our wonderful parents and enjoy time with you all. Please do let the teachers know if you are going to be able to make it so we can give a proper head count to our cook Mrs. Jolene to make sure we have enough. Thank You
Some other important news that we would like to share is that there is an attendance sheet on our white board outside the front door. Please to a moment to look at your calendar to figure out your Thanksgiving plans/ vacations and mark the days your child will be here or not. We will be closed on Thanksgiving day Thursday Nov 28th 2019 and be back open the next day. We would just like a head count to the kids to help Nina make sure we are fully staffed
Please remember to bring on November wipes if you have not already. Please remember that winter is coming and we will need heavy winter jackets, gloves, boats and hats. We love to take the kids outside in the morning and afternoon. We are aloud to go outside when it is 22 degrees and above. We do cut back the time we are outside during the cold, but we love to have fun and play in the snow when we can.
