Koalas Newsletter: March 2021

Dear Koala Families,
I can’t believe it’s already March! Where does the time go? Spring is upon us and much like the flowers that are getting ready to bloom and the warm weather, our class has experienced some big transitions. Ms. Katie came in as the lead teacher in January and we have been getting well adjusted to some new routines and schedules. We also said goodbye and good luck to Aryan, Charlie, Charlotte, Sebastian, and Violet as they have all moved up to Pandas, we will miss them!
Now that things have settled down we will focus on two colors per month and two shapes per month. There will be a lot of repetition to help build shape and color recognition skills as well as language skills. There will be themes such as Community Helpers, Things that Go!, St. Patrick’s Day, and Pond Life. We will incorporate more book and literacy time and there will be lots of fun art and play experiences as well!
Reminders
Just a couple of reminders:-The weather is beginning to get warmer and it might be time to check the extra clothes in your child’s cubby. Since you cannot personally check, if you would like us to send them home so you can look at them and replace them as needed just let us know!
-As it gets warmer we will be applying sunscreen everyday so please provide some for your child.
Thank you all so much for sharing your little ones with us! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns. Happy Spring!
-Ms. Katie and Ms. Elena
