Panda 1 Newsletter: June 2021

Hello Panda 1 Families!
Happy June! I hope that all of our Mom’s had a wonderful Mother’s Day and that you all enjoyed the nice long weekend for Memorial Day! Thank you to everyone for signing up for conferences, it was so nice to be able to chat with you all about your amazing kiddos! In May we talked about Weather, Bugs and Insects, Plants and Flowers and Camping. We got our caterpillars at the beginning of the month and we got to watch them grow, build their cocoons and turn into butterflies! It was so fun to watch and a great learning experience. This last month we had a few new friends join us as well! Isaac, Audrey, Beckett and Oliver are all Pandas now and we are so excited to have them!
Splash Day!
This month we will be starting Splash Days. They will be every Friday during our morning outside time, which is at 9:30am. Our first one will be Friday, June 4th. Since we will be doing it in the morning, we are asking that you please bring your child to school those mornings ready to go already in their water gear (including shoes). We will be setting up a sprinkler on our playground on these mornings, due to COVID-19 restrictions we will not have any standing water in our water tables for now.
Reminders for the month:
-We will close EARLY (at 4:00) on Friday, June 11th for staff training.-Be sure that your child has appropriate shoes/clothing for the weather, as well as a weather appropriate change of clothes.-Please provide a water bottle every day, it is very important that your child be drinking water throughout the day, especially with the weather getting warmer.-We do not provide a morning snack, if your child arrives before 9am please provide a snack for them.
