Dear Panda One Families,
We would like to give a huge shout out to all of the families who contributed to our Valentine’s Day Party – THANK YOU!!! The children snacked on a variety of tasty treats. They also enjoyed coloring and decorating their valentine boxes, and exchanging valentines with one another.
Upcoming Events
We will be having a green-themed celebration on Tuesday, March 17th in observance of St. Patrick’s Day. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the white board in the hallway just outside of the Panda Room door for those of you who would like to contribute. Thank you in advance, your support is greatly appreciated! J
Spring Break
Spring Break is just around the corner – March 23rd through March 27th – and although we will be open that week, we ask that you please sign your child in or out for those days so that we may staff our room accordingly. The sign-in/out sheet will be posted next to the St. Patty’s Day sign-up sheet on the white board just outside of the Panda Room door in the hallway. The deadline to sign your child in or out for that week is Friday, March 13th.
Health and Safety
In an effort to help stop the spread of illness, we ask that you please take a peek at our illness policy, and refrain from bringing your child to school if they are exhibiting signs of illness.
Children’s Cubbies
With the winter season now in full swing and the temperatures outdoors dropping well below freezing, the children have been spending more and more time indoors. However, as we all know, the weather in Colorado can be unpredictable, and temperatures outdoors can fluctuate greatly from day to day. That being said, we will continue to take advantage of every opportunity, no matter how fleeting, to go outside and enjoy the fresh air.
We ask that you please ensure that your child is prepared for cold-weather outdoor play by ensuring that they are equipped with season appropriate apparel at school – this includes a hat, gloves, a heavy coat, pants, socks, and snow boots. Also, please take a moment to survey the contents of your child’s cubby and 1) ensure that there is at least one full change of clothing, including socks, available every day, and 2) remove any items that are not safe for school (i.e. plastic bags, small toys, candy, bags/backpacks with straps longer than 3 inches). Please note: any item that can fit through a paper towel roll is considered a choking hazard, and is not permitted in the classroom.
