Dear Panda Two Families,
We hope all of the mothers had a lovely Mother’s Day last month, and that everyone enjoyed a nice, long Memorial Day weekend. Also, we would like to wish all of the fathers a happy Father’s Day on the 20th!
Miss Becka will be out of the classroom Friday, May 28th through Friday, June 11th, and Ms. Emily will be caring for the children in her absence.
Reminders
Sunset Academy will be closing early, at 4:00PM, on Friday, June 11th for our monthly staff meeting and training session. We kindly ask that you please make arrangements to have your child(ren) picked up early that day, as our staff will not be available after 4:00PM. Thank you in advance!
Please provide a package of 200 wipes or more for your child for the month of June.
Upcoming Events
Splash Day – Weather permitting, Splash Day will be returning to the Panda Classroom this month! Our first Splash Day of the season will be held on Friday, June 4th during our regularly scheduled outdoor time (10:30AM-11:30AM). We will continue hosting Splash Days every Friday throughout the summer months. We kindly ask that you please bring your child to school dressed in their swimsuit and water shoes every Friday through the month of August. We also ask that you please provide a towel and an extra pair of shoes. Hats and sunglasses are also recommended.
Create Your Own Pizza Day – The children will be creating their own personal pizzas to enjoy during snack time on Monday, June 21st. For those of you that would like to contribute, a sign-up sheet with a list of toppings will be posted in the lobby near the tablet. Thank you in advance, your contributions are greatly appreciated!

Safety
Please help us maintain the safety of all of the children in our care by ensuring that there are no hazardous materials (i.e. plastic bags – grocery or Ziploc style; lotions, ointments, diaper creams; chapstick; toys with small parts; any item labeled: “Not suitable for children under the age of 3.” or “Keep out of reach of children.”) in your child’s pockets or backpack. **Any item that will fit through the opening of a paper towel roll is considered to be a choking hazard.**
Also, we ask that you please refrain from bringing any item that contains nuts into the building, as Sunset Academy is a nut-free facility. THANK YOU!!! Your support on this matter is greatly appreciated.
