Polar Bears Newsletter: January 2025

Hi Polar Parents Happy New Year 2025 🎊 We hope you had a wonderful holiday with your families.

January is a month of new beginnings

We’re welcoming the New Year by saying welcome to a new student Cataleya who will be moving to the Polar room from the Panda 2 room. We are sad we have to say good bye to Sebastian who is moving to the Brown Bear room.

In the month of January we will be making winter projects. Staying with our routine we will be doing the Alphabet, shapes, number and colors. The letter of the month will be “F” talk to your child about words that start with the letter “F”. As always daily we will practice tracing and writing our names.

Items needed everyday

We will still be going outside and sledding down the hill. Every child needs to bring snow pants, snow boots, and a heavy winter coat with a hood or a stocking hat and gloves 🧤 The children have always loved sledding down the hill. 🛷

All children need at least 2 changes of clothing at all times.

They also need a water bottle every day, a clean blanket, and a large backpack. 🎒

We ask parents to keep on working with their child to put on their clothes by themselves and start learning to zip up jackets.

NOTICE: TOYS IN CLASS

Recently, we have experienced many conflicts, distractions, and disorganization in regard to toys brought from home. We have plenty of toys for the students to use here and extras from home are not needed. Up to this point, we had been okay with other toys being brought, but there have been too many instances where they get lost, broken, or taken. We did speak with the students about it so they are aware of the changes and the reasoning behind it. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD BRING TOYS TO SCHOOL.

Thank you.

January 1st – CLOSED – Happy New Year

Birthdays in January

Sebastian 1-16

Alex 1-29

As the temperature drops, we will be seeing more friends sick. We kindly ask that you keep your child home if they aren’t feeling or behaving like their usual self and show symptoms of fatigue, cough, sore throat, runny nose or fever. We realize this can be difficult to arrange but it is vital when it comes to keeping children and staff healthy.  If they test positive for anything let us know! It is important we know so we can keep a record of it and can take proper measures to minimize spreading it further! Thank you for your cooperation.
