Happy July, Polar Bear Families!
What a wonderful start to the summer we have had in our classroom. There have been many changes with the departure of two wonderful teachers and an addition to a new teacher in your child’s classroom. I would like to thank you all again for such a warm welcoming to becoming your child’s teacher in the Polar Bear classroom. The teachers and children have had such a great transition and our days have been filled with fun and creative exploration.
During the month of July, we will be focusing on the upcoming holiday (Independence Day), summer sweets and treats, butterflies and bugs, farms, and traveling. The Polar Bears have been interested in all of our themes and love the facts learned during the week.
Your Polar Bears have been practicing using instruments and singing along with active, body movements during group time. The Polar Bears do an amazing job mirroring Miss Sarah and Miss Gloria as we tap our instruments and move our bodies in various ways. This helps in their development in their listening skills, coordination, body awareness and control, plus many more.
Miss Sarah and Miss Gloria cannot wait to continue to implement the activities added to the classroom and help your child grow and strengthen their skills in the different developmental areas. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
We would also like to invite you into your child’s classroom from time to time. Our plan is to update our documentation boards weekly as well as add new art to the classroom. Also, check out our parent board!!
Please be sure to restock your child’s cubby with extra clothing. Don’t forget to label!
