Happy November Polar Families!

       We cannot believe there are only two more months until the new year! Your Polar Bears have been working so hard on their letters, colors, shapes, and as well as their name! During the month of October, we’ve explored a lot about the pumpkin. Ask your child the parts of the pumpkin! They do so well with identifying the stem, skin, rib, pulp, and seeds! It’s so exciting to know they are learning and retaining fun information. We’ve also explored the first five letters of the alphabet. It’s great that they can identify the letters. They still need some guidance, but when once they get a head start, they’re in it!!

Please, please bring the appropriate outerwear for your child. Even with the snow on the ground, we are allowed to go outside! Children are recommended to have at least 45 minutes of outdoor play. We will take caution and shorten outdoor time if needed, but your child does need the appropriate outerwear. It isn’t fair to the other children if we are not all dressed accordingly and can’t explore the outdoors in cooler temperatures.

We will be hosting a Thanksgiving luncheon in your child’s classroom on Friday, November 22 @ 11:30am. You are welcome to bring a side dish for the class to share.

Sunset Academy will be closed on Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving. During this time, we’ll be spending time with our families. Be on the lookout for a list to let us know if your child will be in or out during the week of November 25. Doing this will help us schedule accordingly. Thank you.

Next month on December 11, Sunset Academy will be having their annual holiday concert at 7:00pm. We do ask parents arrive at 6:30pm. More information at a later date.

Encourage and help your child identify the colors, numbers, and letters of the alphabet while you’re out and about or in the comfort of your home. The continuity of learning will greatly impact your child. It’s also a great way to interact more with your child.
