Polars Newsletter: September 2019

Happy September, Polar Families!

What a summer it has been! The Polar Bears have been so busy and have been having a wonderful time with all that we have been learning.

This month, we will focus on our family, our five senses, the fall season, and apples!

The Polar Bears have continued to explore and learn to control their bodies through songs and movement. Alongside using our bodies to move to the music, we also use musical instruments and rhythm sticks as a prop as we move to the music. This will help develop their listening skills, coordination, and body control.

Encourage and help your child identify the colors, numbers, and letters of the alphabet while you’re out and about or in the comfort of your home. The continuity of learning will greatly impact your child. It’s also a great way to interact more with your child.

Important dates to remember:

Monday, September 2: Labor Day. Sunset Academy closed.

Friday, September 13: Early closure @ 4:00pm; teacher/staff training + meeting.
