Teddies Newsletter: February 2021

Dear Teddy Families,

We had a lot of fun this past month talking about positional words, mostly in play. I think the children’s favorite activity was pushing all sorts of toys down the ramp of our climber toy, whether the toys had wheels or not! We also were able to get out on our playground a few times, something we had not been able to really experience in November and December. Your children have been loving the change of scenery and the chance to explore outside of a classroom environment.

February’s theme in the Teddy Classroom is “Our Homes and Families.” The majority of our songs, activities, and art will revolve around this theme. For this age, we will focus on dramatic play (phone calls, eating and drinking, playing with dolls), looking at pictures of our families and homes, and using simple dialogue to talk about them; and building with blocks and our toy people and animals to create homes.

Thank you all for the help this past month with grandparent’s names! If you would like to send in or text me additional family pictures, I would love to add them to our family photo display for the month.

A very happy first birthday to Rosalia! Her birthday is February 27th.
