Teddies Newsletter: January 2020

Hello Teddy Families!

We hope you had a fantastic Christmas and/or Hanukkah with family and friends.

This month’s theme is All About Me! We are going to celebrate the start of a new year by learning about ourselves. We will focus on body awareness, self-recognition, family recognition, and friend recognition. We encourage you to please bring a family picture to add to our wall, and we are going to send out a questionnaire about some of your child’s favorite things.

We will read books that focus on self-individualization, and sing songs like “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.” We will also be doing some baby yoga to help us be aware of our bodies and for fun exercise!

Some notes: Please make sure to label any new sip cups or bottles that come into the classroom. We are happy to create a label for your child’s bottle or cup, but sometimes we are unable to get to it that day, and cups and bottles must be labeled at all times. A piece of tape is fine, or even permanent marker written directly on the bottle.

Also, please double-check that your child has two full sets of spare clothes in their cubicles and that they are the right size and season.

A very happy birthday to Sebastian. He turned one on January 1st!

Please join us in welcoming to our class Carter and Mason. They are transitioning to Teddies during the course of the next few weeks.

Just a reminder that we will be closing at 4:00 pm, Friday, January 10th for our monthly meeting and training.

Sincerely,

Ms. Katie and Ms. Marilyn
