Teddies Newsletter: March 2020

Hello to March! Spring will be here soon and we cannot wait to go outside more frequently.

This month’s theme is Under the Sea! Most of our activities this month will tie-in to ocean animals. Some songs we are singing this month are, “5 Little Fishies,” “Down By the Bay,” “Baby Beluga,” and, of course, “Baby Shark.”

Our ocean books will include “Baby Shark, Hide and Seek,” “Never Touch a Shark!” and “Bubbles.” We will be exploring with paint, paper plates, and squares of bubble wrap to create ocean animal art, and we will get to participate in some fun sensory activities that are ocean-themed! Curriculum for the week will be posted on the parent board in our classroom if you would like to see the plan for each day!

Teacher Reminders:

-Please make sure all children have a pair of shoes for outside time. They may be soft-soled, and you can leave them in their cubby if you would like your child to wear them just for going outside. Please also make sure your child has a sweater or jacket.

-With the season changing again, please check your child’s cubby to make sure they have at least one, but preferably two full changes of clothes that are the right season and size. Thank you!

-Friday, March 13th is our early closure day. Please make sure your child is picked up by 4:00 p.m. that day

Please welcome to our class Bristol and Beckett from Cubs, and Violet, who has joined us from another center. We’re happy to have new friends to play with!
