Teddies Newsletter: March 2021

Dear Teddy Families,

It’s almost spring, yay! We have been having so much fun getting to play outside on our warmer days. We enjoyed our “homes and families” theme last month, and this month’s theme is “Healthy Foods Help Us Grow.”

For this age group, we will be doing activities that center around different types of food. This will include singing songs, making art, and reading books about food. If you have any books about food our class can borrow for the month, we would love to have them!

More and more of our teachers have received either their first or second dose of the Covid vaccine, and I’ve heard from multiple parents that they have received theirs as well! I feel like the end of this pandemic is getting closer every month, hang in there everyone.

Important Information:

We are now a Level 4 Colorado Shines certified program! This is exciting news, and was something worked hard on by all teachers and administration, but especially so by Ms. Gloria in Polars, Ms. Katie in Koalas, and myself in Teddies. It was our three classrooms that were chosen by the council to examine, and we were the teachers interviewed. We are very proud that all of our efforts paid off, and recognize that growth is a constant thing. We couldn’t have done it without the wonderful families who have supported us through this pandemic!

We will be starting to close early every second Friday of the month again in order to have our monthly staff meeting, something we haven’t done in over a year. We will be closing at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 12th.

We are having a fundraiser for the school! Catalogs and order forms will be sent home with your child.
